I had so much fun running around with Tyler.  She had such a great fashion model quality about her too!  The girl photographs so long and lean which is super fun for me coming from a print modeling background.  At the end of our shoot I just had to grab up some shots with Tyler and her little red mustang.  I mean lets face it one day she’ll look back and say man I had a sweet car in high school ;)

Last Thursday December 8th I was asked to board a teeny weenie prop plane and soar over Lake Havasu to take some aerial shots of the area for a local magazine!  It was so much fun and way harder to get good shots than I thought it would be.  And I already thought it was going to be tough!  The planes windows are totally reflective when the sun shines through so that makes for a bit of an obstacle and I was back seat so I caught some shadows and had to cut out alot of shoulders and arms that where pretty hard not to get in my shots.  Beyond how extrememly gorgeous Havasu looks from the sky those little planes ROCK!  What a smooth flight, way better than flying commercial :)

Don Clark who is a local pilot here in Lake Havasu took us up for a little over a half an hour and flew us where ever we asked.  He jokingly talked with other pilots in the air that he was taking us on his 3rd solo mission, but he didn’t fool us!  The guys a pro.  I hope this isn’t the last air photo session as I truly enjoyed this little journey :)

Shooting Jordan is so easy!  What a beauty, this kid doesn’t need anything besides her smile to light up my shots!  Check out some of my favorites from our recent photo session one chilly winter day :)

So Anne and I have been trying to beat the weather and the sniffles for weeks, heck wait…..months! So glad we paired up when we did, even though we got a gloomy day. I feel like we got some pretty darn good photos. The heavy clouds didn’t hold them back as they where all smiles and up for retakes when the sun finally did peak through.

I really loved photographing Anne and Luke’s kiddos, they where a lot of fun. They had so many suggestions and ideas of their own which made my job all the better. Capturing kids doing what they do has to be my most favorite thing about family photo sessions.

It was also pretty cool to capture a generation photo as I myself have one and it’s really significant to have, there fore taking one was an honor :) Check out some of my favs from my recent family portrait session right here in Lake Havasu City!

Just browsing around on the net like any other day I stumble upon this fantastic site called  Groomsday!  It's a site with great gifts just for guys!  Obviously this is geared mostly towards grooms to be looking for a nice grooms men gift for their select few who'll be standing by his side on his wedding day!

It's got a pretty clean navigation so you can logon and search by gift type, say your best man is a cigar smoker? Well they've got a whole selection just for him!  I really liked the six pack o beer belt my self, I'm sure that would make a great laugh.  The gifts range incredibly in price so you can really grab up some bargins for those large wedding parties, however they have some really nice custom engraved pieces as well.

There is even a great section for bridesmaids which is always nice, especially when shopping in a time crunch!  Anyway just wanted to pass this little gem along to any of my upcoming brides and grooms and hope it provides a little bit of help :) Amber

Lisa and Daniels wedding was our first opportunity to shoot pre ceremony portraits the day before.  It was so cool to capture their reveal in a private little setting on the Avi Golf Course in Laughlin Nevada. I have to mention as you will notice in the pics Lisa wore moccasins down the isle which I think was the coolest thing ever!

On our way to the Avi as we where crossing the Colorado River I spot a plane just docked right outside the island at the Avi, I turn to Jeff and we just both knew we where taking them down there for sure to grab some shots with that fantastic prop plane!!

Lisa and Daniel where just as easy to shoot during this a more stressful time then at their engagement session a few months back.  Check out some of our favorites from Lisa and Daniels portrait session and wedding day!

The Nelsons where here in Lake Havasu for their second time on a family vacation!  I was so happy when they called and booked us for their family pics!  Shooting a family of six is always cool for me as I came from a family of the same size myself.  It’s always fun to see all the different personalities that come from a big family.

It’s also pretty cool to get some pics of mom and dad alone, and to still see that love and attraction they have for each other.  I had fun trying to convince the younger ones we where almost done as ofcourse they just wanted to run around and be free and where probably growing very tired of my cues…..”look in the lens, smile, bla bla bla”

All in all what good sports and I even got them to sit still for some kiddo headshots, which I love to do :)

Family portraits sessions for the season are booking up fast!  Give us a call today to schedule yours!
